The vision of FCF is to move towards the transformation of people into a community of grace-filled followers of Jesus for a greater Pen Lucy, Baltimore and the world.
Since its inception in 1920, BFCS' focus has been on strengthening the family unit. They believe that families are where children have the best opportunity for growth and development. When children cannot live with their parents, BFCS provides substitute families in the form of foster or adoptive parents. Churches are at the core of the success of their work. BFCS' mission is to give children and families in crisis a new start, attending to their physical, mental, social and spiritual needs.
Pen Lucy Neighborhood Association (PLNA)
PLNA is a private, non-discriminatory, non-profit association devoted to the improvement of living conditions in the neighborhood of Pen Lucy. PLNA's mission is to foster friendly relations among the residents of the neighborhood served, to maintain and improve properties in the area, to provide educational and recreational facilities to assist with the elimination of crime and delinquency, and to work in partner relations with other neighborhood associations, parent-teacher associations, and other groups working towards the overall well-being of the neighborhood.
Serve Greater Baltimore (SGB) seeks to partner with ministries and organizations that serve our community. SGB aims to get volunteers connected with organizations that are already making an impact in Baltimore. The aim is not to start something new but to support what is already there. In an effort to do this SGB started Serve the City Baltimore(STC) in 2009 as a catalyst to get volunteers involved with different service sites.
